Description: Brick wall layer, unit 22227 belonging to feature 7754. 

Discussion: The brick is very delicate and brittle making it hard to follow its course. The wall is made up of used bricks containing brick, mortar and plaster. The wall is infill of an access hole connecting units 21396 and 22216 (spaces 94 and 92). 

Consistency: brittle, fragile 

Colour: brown, orange, black, grey 

Texture: brick, plaster deposits, mortar 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: stone fragments, plant and other organic remains 

Post-depositional Features: disturbances by animal burrows, burning 

Basal Boundary: constructional, gradual
