During the 2016 season, while cleaning, the conservator found some flecks of red paint on the eastern wall of B. 89, on the low part of wall above the E-central platform. A red-painted rectangular pattern with internal checkerboard design was uncovered. There are 2 or 3 layers following the same geometric motif, a rectangular shape with internal subdivisions. This overlapping may be due to later episodes of replaatering and repainting intended to replicate the underlying geometric design.
