Data Category Information: Description: pit

Discussion: Retrieval pit for post hole located in the south east central part of the Sp551 in the building 160, by the E wall, visible after remove the primary room fill (U22324). The cut shape was determined by the infill layer, the outline of which was followed hence the irregular shape of the cut. The walls of the cut are vertical with a rounded corners and irregular bottom. The pit is adjacent to the east wall of the B160 and clearly cuts the Platform F7820, and the dirty layer 32405. Also inside the pit, was visible part of the E wall of the building below, which was also cut by the retrieval post hole. 

Shape: Irregualar shape, but mostly oval.

Base Break: Flat, almost right angle
