Discussion: This unit represents the loose, dark burial fill surrounding the juvenile burial sk. 22615. It was easily discernible from the surrounding context u. 22617-- an orange (processed mudbrick) foundation layer for B. 129 which is much more compact. It is ovular in plan, and was excavated by trowel. The entirety was sent to floation, and will likely return a great deal of human bone as sk. 22615 was in very poor condition. 

Consistency: loose to friable 

Colour: mid-grey 

Texture: sandy loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: plaster, burnt clay 

Post-depositional Features: construction of touristic walkway above 

Basal Boundary: clear-- color & texture difference from u. 22617 (foundation deposit of B. 129)
