Discussion: All bones except for some fragmentary right forearm and wrist bones were in a state of total disarticulation. Most long bones were found roughly parallel to each other, but proximal and distal ends of long bones tended to be on opposite ends than expected. Various ribs and vertebrae were scattered throughout the deposit, with some nearly directly on top of the bones of complete sk. 22620 below. One scapula lay flat between layers of long bones from the lower limb, while the other stood directly upright at the W edge of the long bone deposit, its bottom edge resting directly between the pelvic bones of sk. 22620. The mandible and large sacrum fragment were found at the NE edge of the disarticulated deposit of bones, N of fragments of long bones from both arms.

All bones appear mature and fused, so the individual was an adult. Some bones were against a multilayered slab of plaster with red paint that appeared to be the east wall of the house. The mandible, sacrum, and parts of both humeri extended into fill farther east after the end of the plaster however and it eventually became apparenr that this was not the wall but had instead somehow slid or been placed into the cut.

Other comments: Bones were dry, friable, and generally very poorly preserved. This is likely because the burial is so close to the mound surface.
