Discussion: Primary burial of preterm baby, placed in a wooden object (X1). A shell was placed centrally over the body. Below floors in space 556 - probably a foundation burial. Approximately 36 weeks gestation. No skeletal pathology is evident. Samples were taken under the assumption that there was some sort of a textile lining of the wooden object, but will need further analysis.

Burial was disturbed by animal burrows, so the cut is probably irregular due to that.
