Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: oven; Material: pise-like; Deposition: heterogeneous
Description: U23406 was the structural basis of Oven F2195, in the W-SW corner of Building 52, space 576
Discussion: U23406 represents the lowest structure of Oven F2195. This was constructed with the use of similarly medium sized rough stone, irregularly placed and bonded with sandy pise-like mortar, upon which base packing U23405 was placed. This unit survived well only at the West, as the southern and eastern part of this feature was truncated by Wall F2183. U23406 had cut into Wall F.2140. In the East only the lowest part of the structural basis survived in a patch, for which S3 was taken for flotation.
