Unit 23619
Category: Layer dug in 2017
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: interwall infill
Data Category Information: Location: between walls; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: U.23619 is the interwall infill between F.7736 later eastern wall and F.7149 earlier eastern wall. Infill between these walls was divided by a wedge U.23621. Upper part of the infill was compound with rubble, collapsed brick and mortar, plaster. Right side of the wedge under this compound part (after 3 cm) was homogeneous and steril. It was light grey silty until the bottom part. Under this steril part floor plaster U.23623 is revealed. Left side of the wedge was directly steril, pure soil. It is interesting that wedge was also plastered on its left side. Compared to interwall infills from other buildings, it can be said that this infill was clean, steril as it was a special depost infill. However, other than shells, obsidian, bones and stones there was no find pointing that it was a spcial deposit.
