Unit 2515
Category: skeleton dug in 1997
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: skeleton
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Semi-articulated skeleton of an infant, disturbed almost certainly by and animal burrow which runs directly through the centre of the burial. However, the body is in a very doubled up position but while legs and arms as far as one can tell, more or less extended. This is very possibly a baby-in-a-bag, although no phytoliths were observed - however now as there a distinctive cut and slight soil differences noted on the surface could be due to the animal burrow. Several bones clearly missing which must be attributed to the animal.
