Unit 2520
Category: skeleton dug in 1997
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: skeleton
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: unknown, ?c. 0.1 x 0.05 x 0.05m
Discussion: This group of foot bones was exposed (and damaged!) when mattocking out the primary makeup deposit (2514) of the 'platform' feature F.13. No other bones were present, and close examination of the soil matrix the bones were in (2521) showed that this deposit though partially derived from platform material, must have been a grave fill remnant ignored/missed by the excavator in the 1996 season. As these bones and 2521 were located at the western end of the platform, the burial the bones most likely relate to = burial 38_. However, this is by no means certain.
