Discussion: This unit is the mortar of the partition wall F.1853 in b.43. It was distinctly grey and homogoneous, distinct from the brick in color.
The mortar and brick was excavated together, but finds were kept separate. However the flotation sample containts both brick and mortar. Archive samples were separated.
