Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Material: brick
Discussion: These bricks were recognized as a separate unit from the infill as they were much more compact and a different color. There were two layers of bricks along the southern wall of the cut (U.30433). These bricks mark the location of the niche where the skeleton is located. There was some animal disturbance along the edge between the westernmost bricks and the western wall of the pit.
This wall consisted of two layers of well preserved bricks. They were laid vertically, sealing off the niche cut forming a kind of marker. The first course consisted of 10 bricks, while the lower one of 5 bricks.
