Unit 30470
Category: Skeleton dug in 2014
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: primary undisturbed burial
Data Category Information: none
Description: Targets used for 3D model:
3, 1, 2, 5, 4
Discussion: The hole body it's s little bit lying on right side and as a result the right patella has fallen down lateral to the knee. The shoulders are elevated and the clavicles verticalised following the interior movement of the manumbrium and rib cage (collapse due to decomposition of the thoracic contents. The sacro-iliac joints are in an articulated position. The right lower limb is rotated laterally (therefore accounting for displacement of the patella). The 2nd metacarpal and trapezoid and all left carpals are in articulation, the left shoulder and upper limb show a wall effect with the cut of the grave and likely wrapping of the body (winding sheet/shroud). The mandible is profraced and the mouth is agape (open). The cephalic extremely is rotated right and the movement of the mandible and thyroid cartiloge reflects that this rotation occurred before disarticulation of the TMJ (Temporo-mandibular joint).
