Unit 30479
Category: Skeleton dug in 2014
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: primary burial
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Skeleton was laid out East West with the head at the west end of the grave slightly rolled to the South. Cervical vertebrae in articulation were fully supine, suggesting that the rotation of the head was taphonomic and not the burial position. Both arms were adducted, either as a result of narrow confines of the grave or as a result of shrouding. The epiphisis of the individual were largely unfused suggesting it is a subadult. The thoracis cavity had been greatly disturbed by animal burrowing, disrupting the ribs and thoracis vertebrae. The feet and hands were also disrupted by animals and were largely missing.
