Unit 30549
Category: Skeleton dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: primary disturbed
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Adult primary disturbed burial within F.6051. The right ankle was found at a higher elevation than the hip and ankle. The left foot had fallen down into the pit in a disarticulated state. The right talus was found articulated with the distal right tibia, uppermost under the platform. The remaining elements of the right foot were found disarticulated along the slope upon which the right tibia and fibula were placed. These elements appeared to have 'trickled' down towards the knees on the floor of the grave. This disposition suggests that these had fallen into a void created by the decomposition of the leg and thigh musculature. This foot was in an open space / void.
