Unit 30783

Category: Layer    dug in 2013

Area: TPC

Interpretive Categories: Pit infill

Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit; Deposition: homogeneous

Discussion: This is a bottom part of an infill (upper part - u. 30768). It was pretty homogenous except for the bottom section which was characterized by bricky deposit. A large number of Neolithic pottery sherds and a female figurine was found in it. It is surprising as it was part of a sequence of post-Neolithic layers deposited after a truncation that destroyed southern part of B. 121. How ever the pit was placed directly next to one of the layers from the fill of B. 121 (u.30761) and hence it may have been accidentaly misplaced.
