Discussion: This unit was identified and planned because we thought that room fill u. 30844 was running underneath it. When we excavated u. 30856, we realized this was not the case and decided not to excavate u. 30844 in 2013. 

Consistency: crumbly & dry, loose where dry but more friable where wet 

Colour: orange bricks, grey mortar 

Texture: mud-brick 

Bedding: massive
