Discussion: Mortar of the F 3346
It is a layer of construction, it was formed by the people who lived there. Itis a part of a wall so it directly refers to the mudbrick layer (31108).
For the characteristics, it is really easy to distinguish it from the mudbrick layer and also easy to remove. This unit is hard to distinguish from the plaster (U31116). Between mortar and mudbrick layers, there are often phytoliths. 

Consistency: loose, crumbly 

Colour: grayish-brown (red and green inclusions) 

Texture: sandy-silt 

Bedding: compund layer 

Inclusions: none 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrows 

Basal Boundary: wavy
