Discussion: U. 31231 represents the plaster or mortar around and underneath the collapsed budbricks (U. 31230). The portion between the bricks and the wall F. 3314 is located right up against F. 3314, with no fill in between.
The plaster or mortar flaked away easily. The relationshiop between this bricks, mortar/plaster, and the adjacent wall F. 3315 is not completely clear, but the bricks and their mortar/plaster (U.31231) seem too intact to have fallen from (F. 3314) a high elevation realtive to their in situ position (such as an upper story).

Colour: white, gray 

Texture: silt 

Bedding: layered: white plaster and greay mortar
