Discussion: Cluster of stones 31545 was recorded within and next to the northern face of the niche F.7855, that was located within the Southern wall (F.3679) of B.132. In the unit one may enumerate 9 whole preserved stones and 10 fragments of the same material. The nature of the lithics remains unclear due to their natural, un-worked surfaces and irregular shapes. Worth noticing however is that all of the stones had approximately the same size, and some of them were clearly affected by the high temperature. The latter may indicate their actual purposes related probably with the cooking activities. Additionally, the mentioned interpretation is supported by the placement of the cluster next to the fire installation (F.7854). The cluster may be regarded as a part of the abandonment deposit left at the end of occupational phase of the building as an symbolical offering.
It is possible that the part of the cluster remains within the niche due to its fill had not been excavated in 2015.
