Unit 31591
Category: Cut dug in 2016
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Northern cut within the post retrieval pit
Data Category Information: Description: pit
Discussion: U.31591 is the cut within the post retrieval pit F.7873. This unit is recognized while excavating U. 31555- Infill of the post retrieval pit. Infill of the pit differed on north and after realization of the cut; excavation on U.31592 (Infill) and its cut U.31591 is started. Cut of this feature was gradual on east, sharp on north and south. However, it is partially excavated on west due to limit of excavation. The depth of the cut was 24 cm. Base of the cut was distinct with a post hole in the middle. It is important to note that the post hole was contextually in the middle of Wall F.7346 and the post hole in the northern corner within the F. 7723 (post retrieval pit). The placement of these features which creates North South alignment is important since it is the western limit of the main room of B.132. There might be a light Wall made of organic material.
