Unit 32036
Category: Layer dug in 2016
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: burial infill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: burial; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: U. 32036 burial infill is defined by its distinct cut within the NE platform F. 7733. Northern part of the platform was cut by this burial and after excavating U.32020, U. 32036 is found. Infill was compound. Interestingly, within the infill, there was a massive light brown clay deposition and the same deposition is found also at the bottom where skeleton is restricted on South. Under this clay edge within the cut, there was a burnt layer. It is sampled (S3). According to specialists, it was full of phytholiths. It might be the entire plant burnt there or the rests of burning of hulled cereals. What is important is that it was burnt and stopped there so it seems like an offering for the burial.
