Discussion: Arbitrary grouped layers of (3) plasters and (3) make-ups U.32082 refers to one of many coating that covered the bench F.7879, which was sat in South-Eastern part of Sp.531. The exploration of the mentioned unit was related with uncovering: (a.) firstly the grey preparation layer (U.32083) all over the platform F.7734 adjacent to the North of the Bench. Secondly (b.) the archaeological execution of the plasters (U.32082) was dictated by revealing the dirty floors (U.32070) to the South of the narrow raised area (the Bench F.7879). Consequently, in order to correlate the particular phase of bench’s use with already exposed sequences within both areas (to the north and south) the decision was made to excavate the 32082 (as the remains of younger event) and uncover underlying layer which was contemporary with 32070 and 32083.
As regards to the U.32082 one may say that it was stratygraphically related with respective layers: U.32080 - in central part of Sp.531 // U.32075 - within the E-platform (F.7734) // and U.32015 - in Southern part of the room.
During the exploration of the plasters (U.3282) it appeared that in contrary to the previously excavated layers of white coats within the bench, the presented unit covered (up to 2cm thick) only the sides of the protruded feature. As to the top surface, it was not covered by any of the plaster layers that were taken out around the bench. Except for the most western part of the feature where small part of the area had been overlapped by the single layer covering the rounded corners. The presented remarks imply that the upper part of the bench was intentionally cut at some point of its use and then repeatedly covered by several layers of plaster. The described accomplishments resulted in decreasing the height of the bench – perhaps until the desired and convenient elevation. Concurrently, its width was left as it was and in the course of the further coating it grew even more due to the layers set on the sides of the bench they were recognized always as thicker than those on the top surface.
