Unit 32098
Category: Layer dug in 2016
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: rim of hearth
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: hearth; Material: mortar; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: A fragmentarily preserved construction of the rim 32098 which originally walled the circular hearth F.7871 had been revealed during the exploration of overlying dirty floors 32070. Noticeable diminish of the rim in its northern part as well as its state of preservation that restricted only to the thin crescent which encircled to the South the cut (U.32702) were related with later remodeling and partial demolition of older structures. Unfortunately, the described construction (U.32098) had been left only in its upper segment of the cut U.32702. The rim actually had been performed during the accumulation of the dirty deposits around and eventually it was covered by them. The mentioned sediments were related with the use of Oven (F.7732) an as such they had been assigned under one unit no. 32070.
