Discussion: Unit 32213 is a make-up layer related to the construction of platform F1810, which is located in the north western side of space 239.
The northern part of the layer had already been exposed due to the identification of a cut in 2004 excavation and to erosion (see discussion of unit 32215 for more details) while the southern part was lying intact under this side of the platform. 32213 is covered by another make-up layer: U32216. The 2 layers have been kept distinct because of a difference in their concistency: smoother in 32213.
Extended over the entire platform surface, 32213 abuts: U32217 in the south-eastern edge of the platform, wall F1820 on its western side and wall F1818 in its northern side.

The layer has been partially excavated during this year campaign (therefore the lowest height level and the thickness of the layer have not been reported in the unit sheet): the removal of approximatly 15 cm has revealed that there is no clearly visible sign of a cut under platform F1810.

A cut in the upper floor of the platform has been probably recognised during 2004 excavation: therefore, the northern side of the platform was partially removed. This, plus the natural erosion of the area, created some sort of step (@@ cm hight) in the center on the platform that defined a rectangular surface in its northern side (@@x@@ cm).
Once we started this year excavation of building 48, this surface looked pretty much like a burial cut: its southern edge seemed to be the overmentioned step, its other edges had to be defined. Therefore we decided to remove part of the layer (32213) north from the step, in order to define the exact shape of the cut. Unfortunatly we could not see any cut.
32213 abuts wall F1816 and F1820
