Discussion: Layer visible after remove the foundation of a latest hearth F7817, with really damaged the one was built below. Is a compact layer, dark brown and clearly burn with clay and silt in the composition. Was preserved only around 0.40 m length and 0.17 width. The state in which we find this layer, makes it impossible to give more information.
This was the last layer that we removed from that feature. The edge/rim of the hearth, in case that is preserved, have to be exposed (we didn’t assigned any unit number) and still remains in the section that we leave in the south part of the space.
