Unit 32495
Category: Cluster dug in 2016
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Fundational deposit
Data Category Information: Location: wall/blocking; Material: clayball; Deposition: primary deposition; Basal Spit: stone, animal bones
Discussion: Cluster defined in the NW part of the Sp. 552, the side room of the building 160. This cluster is composed mostly from clay balls and stones, and a few bones. After the specialist’s feedback, seems that the stones are mainly limestone pebbles, both unburnt and burnt material, 2 andesite flakes of different type of andesite and different stages of production (secondary and tertiary flake) and a naturally perforated stone. For the other hand, the clay balls, a few of them complete, seems to be a bit unusual, because are quite big. We related this cluster, with other two in the same area of this space (U32494 and 32600) and also with the cut U32615 and the arbitrary layer U32496. This three clusters and the other two units are related with the foundation of the wall F7847, a reform probably to consolidate and retain the north wall of that space F7841 that seems that probably was not stable enough.
