Discussion: Large oval cut in SE corner of space 154. Appears to go with abandonment of building 5. Its position suggests that it may relate to the removal of the ladder/steps against the S wall. 

Recognition: Fills different from surrounding layers. 

Definition: Edges at walls/surrounding bands of stratigraphy. 

Execution: Mattock + trowel. 

Condition: Typical. 

Shape: roughly oval 

Sides: variable, generally quite steep, vertical on E/S sides due to walls, slightly concave on other sides 

Base Break: gradual 

Base: quite flat 

Orientation: NW-SE
