Unit description: A medium-size unit that has suffered from considerable fragmentation. Most of the remains are of sheep-size animals and the remains of caprines also dominate the identifiable portion of the assemblage. The condition of the bone is generally good; some has suffered from weathering, burnt bone and digested bone is relatively uncommon. One tooth of equid and one of pig formed the remains identifiable to non-caprines. A few sheep/goat bones came from neonatal animals. 4mm flotation sample #3 was recorded for diagnostics only. Overall it was similar to the material from the dry sieve. NR 2003: Sample 1 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded as diagnostics and flot frags. This is a moderate size sample, with mostly small pieces but a few big ones. Most are a bit worn. There is some burning and little or no digestion. It looks like fill.
