Area: North
Interpretive Categories: pit cut
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: 0.27 x 0.21x 0.7 m
Discussion: Cut in center of S.W. platform in space 86
On south side both level 2 and 3 are somewhat arbitrary- no distinct perimeter boundry (sides) were able to be follow on the overall cut. on the level 2 scrape an inner stepped cut was distinct for its dark clay perimeter. Again I lost the sides and only stepped at level 3 becouse it seemed I was excavating undisturbed floor (close layers of floor plaster)
From the section -- a cut leading to level 4-- was distinct by a bowl shapedlayer of moist dark clay.
A S-N linear cut on the E side was shallow and easily followed by to a layer of dark salty crusted clay.
Recognition: from half section, the center cut was obvious by distinctly darker clay lining; the outer cut was very diffuse/unclear - stopped when hit the floor
Definition: central cut clear, outer boundry diffuse
Execution: trowel chippy and even scraping
