Appears to be sloping dramatically from the North down to the South.
This slope has not emerged in the E-W section. This is a very substantial clay oven base with the fire base being 0.04m in the majority of places.
Deposit appears to be harder towards the south of installation. Dry Sieve Information: Unknown if any dry sieve but probably not

Unit description: Flot sample 2385 sample 2 and Sample 5 >4mm, 100%, Priority Unit This is the uppermost layer of material from the fire installation from south wall of Building 6 (F416). It contains a large amount of oven material. The only bone is microfauna from sample 5. Most of this was removed by Emma for export.
