Discussion: ( 4224 ) appeared to be an eroded remnant of a wall-repair, originally attached to the north face of wall F.299 , that over time had split away. It consisted of a compact, slightly sandy, silt material approx. 0.13m wide where least eroded. Attached to this on the northern side was a partly surviving plaster skim - ( 4264 ), with an average thickness of 0.01m , though there were occ. frags. 0.02m-0.04m thick The max. depth of ( 4224 ) was 0.39m, a rough average being 0.30m. I understand that the plaster skim would have been on the outside of wall F.299, which raises questions about the assumptions that only inside walls were plastered. However, there was no evidence of many applications - the plaster was a single deposit. Perhaps part of construction inbetween F.299 , and the wall to the north. Dry Sieve Information: Unclear could be 0 or 3L dry seived
