Description: Dominant type of brick on 497 wall. 

Recognition: In the 497 wall, dark brown hard/firm brick 

Definition: Clearly visible 

Execution: Trowel, hand pick, mattock. 

Condition: Partly moist, partly dry. 

Consistency: Firm. But the dry areas are loose. 

Colour: Dark brown. 

Texture: Silty clay. 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Plant impressions, white siliceous. %2 large, small and flecks of natural stone. 

Post-depositional Features: Natural salts. 

Basal Boundary: Constructional, very sharp.
