Description: Dominant type of mortar on the 497 wall 

Recognition: Very light in colour though sharply separated from bricks. 

Definition: Clearly visible.

Condition: Very firm and dry. 

Consistency: Firm and strong. 

Colour: Beige/light yellowish in colour. 

Texture: Silty clay. But the clay proportion is a bit more than silt. 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: %2 Flecks of natural stones. Generally pure. 

Post-depositional Features: Insect and root disturbance. 

Basal Boundary: Constructional-sharp.
