Unit 4789

Interpretive Categories: phytoliths
Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: basin; Material: phytolith; Deposition: secondary deposition
Dimensions: 0.24 EW 0.28 NS 0.001m depth
Discussion: It is a very thin layer of organic residue(can be grass or tiny reed pieces) It has adhered to a yellowish plastery layer. I think this was an earlier surface of the bin and between two floor surface the phytolith layer is lying; which means below the phytoliths the floors are continuing. Maybe they made the feature and than laid down the phytolith and after that built the wall (edge) or the feature is finishing underneath the phytoliths (which is more logical). The top floor of F521 was very patchy so I have collected it with phytolith which is 4789 but the edge itself collected differently.
Recognition: Under the 4787, the reed? impressions appeared
