Data Category Information: Location: external; Deposition: finely bedded

 

Discussion: midden accumulation, same as above sequence, but this below wal 1088 and above wall 1091 - not as fine and concentrated ash as some middens, but same debris, angles = household debris in 'open area' where 'external' activities took place 

 

Consistency: moderately compact 

Colour: medium to dark greys and browns 

Texture: ashy silty clay (20:30:50) 

Bedding: compound layered, fine interdigilated lenses and laminations of ash, charcoal, aeprolate, and debris 

Inclusions: moderate to frequent charcoal flecks - small fragments; moderate chalk fleck fragments; moderate to frequent orange/brown aggregates of clay of flecks small to medium sized 

Post-depositional Features:  

Basal Boundary: diffice, banded, dump accumulation
