Discussion: Midden below walls 1096 and 1100.

Levels taken on true height of deposit, not reduced under walls, exposed in section. Due to diiginf of 5593.

Midden accumulated east of wall 1107. Below fill and floor associated with walls 1096 and 1100. these walls constrcuted on midden with a …. prep. of consolidation clay. 

 

Consistency: moderately compact 

Colour: mid dark grey 

Texture: ashy sandy silt (20:10:70) 

Bedding: appears massive but probabaly differential layering through dumping, with lenses 

Inclusions: moderately freq charcoal and bots, occasional chalk flecks and small fragments, occasional-moderate organics (caprolite), bone, obsidian, stone, moderately yellow orange clay aggregates, occasional concentration of charcoal 

Post-depositional Features:  

Basal Boundary: diffuse-dumping
