Unit 5684
Category: Layer dug in 2002
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: midden,room fill
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: The first excavation of this unit was done on the 24th-thought to be midden layers. Now as we came to the bottom, I realise tat this is infill, but the top of infill, mixed with midden layers.
This must be because-after the destruction of the building, they must have just decided to use the area as midden. Very simple in explanation, but it semms funny that it took me so damn long to understand.
I hope today (25th) we will finish the level of this trench. This trench has made me feel like a crap archaeologist all along. But now things are a bit more clearer
