Unit 6153
Category: layer dug in 1999
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: fill of cut
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Cut and infilling around the cut into the floor where the ground stone was placed were recognized this year with the help of Wendy Matthues. After the recognition of packed soil that surrounded the grinding stone and the line of cut visible in animal holes and in already surrounding small charcoal on one side of the stone, this fill was excavatd around the stone. The soil of this infill is mostly brownish and relatively compact, and one area was filled with slightly different yellowish soil. The fill of the cut was relatively easily peeled off the cut's sides.
