Discussion: Reddish yellow floor of fire installation was removed. Floor surface waas firm, but friable, and beneath it softer, more loose deposits of same desription are filling in the shallow scoop immediately beneath the floor. At some point this scoop was lined with very fine line of ash. Unfortunately it was not possible to clean it and isolate it clearly.
