Unit 6856
Category: layer dug in 2001
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: wall made of horizonatally oriented bricks
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick
Discussion: Wall of mud-bricks oriented W-E. Bricks are located horizontally, however 4 of them from western part are put diagonally. The construction looks like a wall of chamber of unspecified character. Interestingly, there is no wall from southern side of the suppressed chamber but only a row diagonally oriented bricks ( unit 6857). Chamber appears to be cover by a lid (unit 6761) that is clearly younger than the wall itself. Between bricks there was mortar that indicates its deliberate construction. Two bricks from western side are considerably destroyed, western edge of the wall is blocked by a vertically located long stone.
