Unit 6922
Category: layer dug in 2001
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: burial infill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: burial; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: basal deposit
Dimensions: 2,40 x 0,70 x 0,30
Discussion: The layer within the whole cut has been divided arbitrarily as one could assume that the older burial / skeleton 6966 had been destroyed by the younger one - 6953. Neither boundary between the two burial cuts (6935 and 6982) nor the differences between the infill 6922 and 6981 have been noticed. The finds have been separated and collected together as unit 6922.
Recognition: below the wall 6857 - looser and darker than around
Definition: within the cut - clear boundaries ( arbitrary boundary with 6981)
Execution: shovel and brush
Condition: hot, dry
Consistency: loose
Colour: mid brown
Texture: sand, little silt
Bedding: massive
Inclusions: artefactual: animal bones, pottery, obsidian, aggregates of mud bricks
Post-depositional Features: plant roots
Basal Boundary: levelled
