Discussion: This is a very diffuse layer - tiny strip of black and dark brown deposit - continuation of 7034. It was supposed to have been a wooden wall/ screen but during exploration it turned out that is was just a thin layer of burnt soil over the floor. It is very well visible on the W profile of the trench as a diagonal layer. 

Recognition: darker than 7191, looser than 7125 

Definition: diffuse boundaries up to the floor 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: cold, cloudy and windy but dry 

Consistency: loose 

Colour: dark brown to black 

Texture: burnt sandy silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: artefactual: pottery, bones 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrows 

Basal Boundary: sharp anthropic boundary
