Unit 8005
Category: layer dug in 2003
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Packing layer
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: raised area (platform); Material: pise-like; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: 8005 would seem to be a layer of creamy brown material (packing?) that has been eroded out (possibly truncated by 1997 excavation). It is sitting on top of a plaster layer which in turn is sitting on another similarly coloured layer of packing which again sits on top of a plaster layer which may form the surface of a more or less complete platform.
As yet there is no stratigraphical relationship with strata excavated by the Greek team. Their archives are currently being worked on.
