Unit 8150
Category: layer dug in 2001
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: 4th hearth floor
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: This floor consists of coarse yellowish deposit in the central part and a ring shape part with red/brown compact deposit around the central part. Fewer traces of burning are perceptible, with some black flecks in the base and pieces of charcoal. The shape of the hearth basin is still rectangular, cut into white plaster, sometimes mixed with it.
When this floor was removed, it became obvious that we are dealing with the base of the of the hearth. The first three floors wer made of baked clay. This fourth one is not that copact and hard. It is probably part of substruction of the hearth. A few charcoal pieces were found. The deposit consists of reddish firable clay with traces of burning. The rim of the feature is made of white plaster. The same as one in the platform (F. 169)
