Unit 8202
Category: layer dug in 2001
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: floor and packing
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: The unit consisted of the remains of the remaining floor layers from the western edge of the niche in the SE corner of space S.201. Excavation of this unit revealed the remander of the floor plaster that was first recovered in unit 8118. This floor extended up to the plaster wall that was first revealed in unit 8144. This bottom layer ( plaster floor) is clearly associated with the construction of this wall. The floor layers removed consisted of 5 plaster floors and 5 layers of packing, one of which was the thick burnt layer that was first recovered in unit 8118. All of the floors and packing layers end at the remains of the plaster wall. Phosphate, ICP, and Phytolith samples were taken from the top floor plastering (samples 3,4,5) (which was the first layer of the unit) and the bottom floor plastering (Sample 6,7,8) (last under this unit)
