Unit 8336
Category: layer dug in 2001
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: wall,wall patching
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: This unit is clearing off F. 759 of excess sand that may be patching in order to reveal an original surface. It is hoped that this will help define F. 759's relationship to F. 772 and to the floor that is currently exposed (the basal boundary of 8277, 8251, and 8328)
Oh, how exciting! It is not " patches, but two separate constructions abuttiong one another. One (the one that I am currently working on to the west) may have been used to the support the other one and is of a sandy material. This has been photographed. The sandy later addition sits on the floor that the treshold also sat on - the basal boundary of 8277, 8251, and 8328. A new unit will be opened to take out the other construction- a pinkish brown concrete stuff.
