Discussion: Mortar between the rows of bricks in interior W wall. At its surface huge concentracion of salts underneath the bricks was found, and then a leyer of beige stuffed silty clay very hard and strongly attached to the bricks.
This unit includes also layers of packings which were put on the wall from the inside in order to make it firm. Architectural sample was taken from the surface (s3).
This unit and unit 8396 comprise only upper to (of 5 visible) rows of bricks and mortar which were not so recognisable as the 3 lower rows which will be excavated separate unit/s.
N.B. see also feature sheet 1000.
All of the mortar of wall F.1000 was removed in this unit.
