Dimensions: N-S - 305 cm; E-W - 30 cm; 1 brick - 55 x 30 cm

Discussion: We lifted couple of layers of bricks but the F. 1001 wall is not an ordinary one because layers of brick and mortar are intertwined - what had been a brick in one layer was mortar in another one and vice versa - at some point it occurred that the wall could actually be a stairway, steps abutting the W wall of sp. 201 and midden to the west.
The bricks are 6-8 cm thick and are shaped as a rectangular square, wall continue discussion. The southernmost brick (brown) was moist and greasy. Regularly shaped bricks (our peculiar constructional elements) have the following dimensions: 55 x 30 cm.
Once we removed wall 636 we are able to define brick courses (22.07.2003).
Three more courses of brick have been removed, wall 1001 id abutting wall 636 and runs paralel with it, also abutting wall 1006 to the south.
Gray brick:66x22x5-7 cm; orange brick: 55x26-28x6-8 cm.
Bottom gray brick course used as foundation. On top of that orange/brownish brick used much more than the gray ones (see section). Yet to9 lift the bottom gray course. Not sure whether wall 1001 had been dug into midden, to make foundation cut.
27.07.2003 - removed bottom course of brick - gray, looks like it had been cut into midden, likely at the same time as wall 636.
