Unit 8647
Category: layer dug in 2003
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: brick
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Bottom row of bricks in ex-W wall of space 201.Separated as a unit due to heavy mixture with underlying midden deposit. Judjing by their position and thin layer of midden that was collected from top of these bricks (and between the next row) it seems that they were sunk into a type of "foundation trench" dug into the underlying midden. In this manner this wall is similar to N and S walls of space 201. Basal boundary then is midden and some construction rubble in the N half of the unit.
X-find 1 was actually located in the underlying midden.
